In 1988, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) officially recognized the existence of the Yeren, the Hubei province living Chinese version of Sasquatch, after scientists found and examined hundreds of footprints, thousands of strands of hair, and interviewed dozens of eyewitnesses.
